Whether you want to travel with your child or they are traveling alone, Scoot Airlines ensures your child has a safe and comfortable journey. Scoot Airlines has a specific child policy, which passengers traveling with their children must follow. Scoot Airlines also provides unaccompanied minor service subject to terms and conditions if your child is traveling alone. What is the Scoot Child policy? How to add a child if the ticket is already booked? How much baggage a child is allowed to carry? You will get answers to every question in the article; stay tuned.

Scoot Child Policy- Terms and Conditions

Here are the various terms and conditions for Scoot infant and child passengers:

If you are traveling with a child who is two years old or older, you must book a separate ticket for them. In that case, fare, tax, and other charges, like the adult ticket, will be applied.

Infants and children between six months and three years old can use child safety seats of their own; Scoot doesn't provide them.

When traveling with an infant or child, you can bring a compact, foldable, lightweight stroller subject to specific rules and conditions. The stroller dimensions should meet the standard cabin bag dimensions and be stored in the overhead compartment or under the seat in front.

Passengers aged 12 to 17 who are not traveling with an adult on the same flight and cabin class are considered unaccompanied minors. Scoot Airlines does not allow your child to travel alone as an unaccompanied minor if he/she is under 12 years old.

Being a parent or legal guardian of an unaccompanied minor, you can complete and submit the Unaccompanied Minor service waiver form to Scoot to waive the unaccompanied minor service. The unaccompanied minor service is where the Scoot staff will assist the unaccompanied minor at the airport on the ground, during the journey, and during deboarding the plane.

If you want the unaccompanied minor service, book the unaccompanied minor flight ticket online around 48 hours well in advance of their journey. You can download the 'Unaccompanied Minor service requests form' for every segment of child travel and show the Scoot team the original copy of the completed form during check-in.

The Scoot team may ask for the identification or documentation of parents or legal guardians at chcek-in for verification of details provided in the form.

Can I add a child to an already booked Scoot flight?

Once the booking is made, Scoot Airlines doesn't allow you to add a child or an adult to an already booked Scoot flight. In that case, you must book a separate ticket for them. Besides, speak to Scoot Airlines customer service to see if they can help you. Read in detail about child policy in flight.

How much luggage is allowed for child in flight?

Infants don't get a baggage allowance. However, you can check special items such as strollers, car seats, and bassinets for free when traveling with an adult on the same flight. The baggage allowance for children or unaccompanied minors is the same as for adults because they book a separate seat.

Conclusion: Scoot Airlines is one of the best airlines if you want to travel with your children. If you add the children, you only need to book their tickets with you. Children between the ages of 12 and 17 traveling alone can benefit from the unaccompanied minor service. Besides, Scoot doesn't allow children to travel alone if their age is below 12.
